We are thrilled to be chosen for The Photoville FENCE, 2020, with our on-going series, ‘Gambia – victims and resisters’ – a multimedia body of work that began back in 2016. With the blessing of those we have photographed and filmed, our intention has always been to share the very personal and traumatic stories far and wide. We thank the FENCE jurors, and the Photoville team, for helping us to do this.

#TBT: Moto-Taxi boys – Labé’s got style, Guinea-Conakry, West Africa

December 2012: ‘Labé, the capital of the Fouta Djallon, Guinea-Conakry, is motorcycle city. The streets are overrun with thousands of cheap Chinese-manufactured bikes and ‘moto- taxis’ are the way to travel, carrying a minimum of 2-3 passengers.
